Music Lessons are made available at the OLS-Seton campus through private instruction.
Guidelines
Teachers Christopher Mann is a graduate of the Armed Forces School of Music and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy Band in San Diego, California. He received additional training from Ithaca College, Syracuse University, Towson State University, McGill University, Lebanon Valley College and SUNY Binghamton. His playing experience as a trombonist includes performing for Tommy Tune, Ringling Brothers, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, The Irish Tenors, Wayne Newton, and Olivia Newton-John, as well as several local small and large groups since 1973. Mr. Mann has been a private music instructor since 1976. Mr. Mann teaches the brass family of instruments as well as woodwinds, percussion, recorder and keyboard. Mr. Mann's lessons are $15 for ½ hour individual sessions. Mrs. Donna Wood holds a B.S. in Music Education/Flute from the Crane School of Music, Potsdam, NY and a M.M. in Saxophone Performance from Binghamton University. She has done additional study at Syracuse University, Eastman School of Music, Banff, Alberta Center For The Arts, The New School of Social Research, NYC, The Vermont Jazz Center and Interplay Jazz Camp. Mrs. Wood has coached flute and vocal ensembles at Interplay camp, which is now in Woodstock, Vermont. She has performed extensively as both a chamber musician and a jazz musician. Mrs. Wood offers lessons on piano, strings, flute, saxophone, clarinet and recorder. Mrs. Wood's lessons are $15 for ½ hour individual sessions. Each teacher has their own lesson payment policy (weekly/monthly). This information is provided at the first lesson or before the first lesson, depending on the teacher. Prompt and complete payment is expected.
